29 CFR 1910.1025(i)(2)(i): Clean change rooms were not provided for employees exposed to lead in excess of the permissible exposure limit (PEL), without regard to the use of respirators: a) Patco Area, Strip and Wash Building, on or about 12/1/15: An employee MIG welding the undercarriage of a rail car was exposed to 173 micrograms per cubic meter of lead as an 8-hr. time weighted average (TWA), 3.5 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter, during the 415 minute sampling period. A zero increment was included for the 65 minutes not sampled. The employer failed to provide change rooms with shower facilities for employees exposed to lead in excess of the PEL. Abatement documentation must be submitted for this item
