29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve: On or about October 8, 2014, outside the blast booth, employee(s) were storing supplied air abrasive blasting respirators in loosely covered drums with steel shot blast media, subjecting interiors of helmets and shrouds to contamination with dust from blasting operations on rough castings, exposing employees to the inhalation hazards of silica.
