29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) Machine Shop, on or about 9/17/14: Baldor grinder had the tongue guard on the left side adjusted 3/4-inch from the abrasive wheel. b) Machine Shop, on or about 9/17/14: Miller Falls grinder had the tongue guard on the left side adjusted 1-inch from the abrasive wheel. c) Machine Shop, on or about 9/17/14: Miller Falls grinder had the tongue guard on the right side adjusted 7/8-inch from the abrasive wheel. d) Facility Maintenance, Melt, on or about 10/2/14: Hisey-Wolt grinder had the tongue guard on the left side adjusted 7/8-inch from the abrasive wheel.
