29 CFR 1910.107(g)(5): The employer did not ensure that solvents used for cleaning spray nozzles and auxilliary equipment have a flashpoint not less than that of the materials normally used in spray operations. In addition, the employer did not ensure that such cleaning was conducted inside the spray booth with the ventilation equipment operating: WORK BENCH OUTSIDE SPRAY BOOTH: (a) On or about November 4, 2013, cleaning of paint guns and related equipment was performed on work benches in the general work area outside the spray booth. (b) On or about November 4, 2013, paint guns were cleaned using OMNI Multi-Purpose Solvent, a Category 2 flammable liquid with a flashpoint of 22 degrees F. The two-parts of the Epoxy Primer have flashpoints of 30 degrees F and 40 degrees F. The two parts of the Acrylic Urethane Enamel have flashpoints of 63 degrees F and 80 degrees F.
