Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 009 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a)(1):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders as necessary, enabling each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. a) On or about December 4, 2024, at a worksite located at 1113 V Street NW, Washington, DC, the employer had not ensured that the employees had received training by a competent person on the proper use of ladders, placement, hazards associated with the different types and the methods to abate those hazards. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
