29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine area: On or about May 1, 2024, and at times prior thereto, the ingoing nip point for sanders #36, #46, and #54 were not guarded where the sanding belt runs into the pulley when employees utilized sanders to sand stool rings and other metal parts.
