29 CFR 1910.242(b):Compressed air used for cleaning. Compressed air shall not be used for cleaning purposes except where reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment. Employees engaged in cleaning operations located at 84504 North State Highway 11, Burwell, Nebraska 68823, were exposed to infusion hazards in that employees were using compressed air to clean off machines. The compressed air attachment in question, was blowing 50 PSI of air pressure and was located in the old shop next to the TRM 20 machine. This was most recently documented on or about April 10th, 2024.
