29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii):Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed: (a) On or about March 21, 2024 the employer did not ensure that the unused opening in the 240 volt AC panelboard cabinet located in the Custom Building room was effectively closed to prevent damage to energized circuits from contaminants such as sawdust, and to prevent unqualified employees from coming into contact with live energized parts. (b) On or about March 21, 2024 the employer did not ensure that electrical boxes with missing knockouts in front of the Molder Machine in the Molder Building were effectively closed to prevent damage to energized equipment from contaminants such as sawdust, and to prevent unqualified employees from coming into contact with live energized parts. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
