29 CFR 1910.219(c)(2)(i): All exposed part(s) of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform were not protected by stationary casing(s) enclosing shafting completely or by trough(s) enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting: At a worksite located at 12149 Hartville Road, Licking, MO: The employer failed to protect employees from caught-in hazards. This was most recently demonstrated on or about October 26, 2023, and at times prior to when the employer failed to ensure that horizontal rotating shafts were adequately guarded from employees engaged in sawmill activities. Employees were exposed to an unguarded rotating shaft associated with the chipper/blower for the lower or downhill mill.
