29 CFR 1910.136(a): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses protective footwear when working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing the sole, or when the use of protective footwear will protect the affected employee from an electrical hazard, such as a static-discharge or electric-shock hazard, that remains after the employer takes other necessary protective measures. At a worksite located at 33643 State Route 6, Brashear, MO: The employer failed to protect employees from crushed-by hazards; including but not limited to large wood logs, large wooden boards, and wood scrap. This was most recently demonstrated on or about February 1, 2023, and at times prior to, when employees working throughout the facility were exposed to the manufacturing of wood products. Employees are not provided with protective footwear as they worked with and around heavy equipment and wood materials.
