29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: (a) Protein for Pets Opco, LLC, dba All American Pet Proteins, at 259 30th Street, Greeley, CO: On and preceding 9/20/2021, the employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles and liquid nitrogen. Two employees wore prescription eyewear with side shields when working on the production floor. The prescription eyewear were not safety glasses. This condition exposed employees to flying particle and cryogenic liquid hazards.
