29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. At a jobsite located at 5218 Northeast 91st terrace, Kansas City, Missouri 64119, an employee was exposed to a serious fall hazard. The employer did not train the employee who was performing work on the makeshift scaffold platform trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. The employee was exposed to an 11 foot fall hazard to the ground below.
