Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 009 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.62(h)(2): Where possible, clean-up of floors and other surfaces where lead accumulated was not accomplished by vacuuming or other methods that minimized the likelihood of lead becoming airborne: The employer is failing to prevent employee exposure to lead hazards. The condition was most recently documented on February 28th, 2019, at 137 Hale Library, Manhattan KS. Employees engaged in paint removal activities in rooms 212 and 117 were exposed to lead hazards in that employees dry swept the lead paint chips instead of using the HEPA vacuum.
