29 CFR 1926.1101(g)(8)(iii)(A): Cutting, abrading or breaking siding, shingles, or transite panels, shall be prohibited unless the employer can demonstrate that methods less likely to result in asbestos fiber release cannot be used. On March 29, 2017, employees broke and removed chrysotile asbestos siding with hammers and pry bars and the employer did not demonstrate that the method was less likely to result in asbestos fiber release.
