Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 009 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.263(i)(6)(ii): The employer did not provide bakery racks equipped with handles such that no part of the operator's hands did not extend beyond the outer edge of the frame when holding onto the handles. On or about February 24, 2017, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were pushing/maneuvering bakery racks, wherein the racks did not have handles, and where the employees were maneuvering the racks with their hands/fingers extending beyond the outer edge of the rack frame, therefore exposing the operators to amputation hazards. NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
