29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: Santec Inc./Linden, NJ- Production Area/Section #2: Flexible cords (Extension cords) were being used in lieu of permanent hard wiring to power equipment, exposing employees to electrical fire hazards: a) Extension cord was plugged into another extension cord, secured to the wall and was used to power Relocatable Power Tap b) Extension cord was secured to the wall and went up to the ceiling. It was then plugged into another extension cord which provided power to Relocatable Power Tap and a light. Condition observed on or about May 5, 2016.
