29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s): On or about March 17, 2015, forklift operators were exposed to tip-over and burn hazards in the following instances; (a) In the Stampcoat/EPTD Press and Dock Areas of Building #1, the tires of HYSTER forklift (Model S50XM, Serial #D187v02519T) and HYUNDAI forklift (Model 25LC-7, Serial #HC0210241) were worn out, cracked and/or chunking off. (b) In the Fabrication Press Area Building #2, the tires of the Clark forklift (Model GCX 40, Serial #GX710U 1019457FB) were worn out, cracked and/or chunking off. (c) In the Fabrication Press Area of Building #2, the engine cover latch of the Clark forklift (Model GCX 40, Serial #GX710U 1019457FB) was broken and would not lock.
