29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): The employer does not ensure a workplace assessment is conducted to determine if hazards are present, or is likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This violation was observed on or about January 21, 2015, at the facility, where a workplace assessment was not conducted to determine the need for personal protective equipment. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to conduct a workplace assessment to determine the need for personal protective equipment.
