29 CFR 1910.138(a): Appropriate hand protection was not used when employee's hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes: On or about April 19, 2019, the employer did not ensure employees used appropriate chemical resistant gloves for handling chemicals such as sulfuric acid when adding distilled water to the forklift batteries.
