29 CFR 1910.1025(i)(4)(iii): The employer shall assure that employees who work in areas where their airborne exposure to lead is above the PEL without regard to the use of a respirator wash their hands and face prior to eating, drinking, smoking or applying cosmetics. On or about May 31, 2024, employees in the CRT/FRIT line specifically the CRT area were exposed to a lead dust concentration in excess of the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). The employer failed to assure that employees who work in areas where their airborne exposure to lead is above the PEL without regard to the use of a respirator wash their hands and face prior to eating, drinking, smoking or applying cosmetics. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
