29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9):The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: Employee engaged in grinding operations located at 84504 North State Highway 11, Burwell, Nebraska 68823 were exposed to struck-by hazards in that employees were using bench grinders and the space between the wheel and adjustable tongue exceeded 1/4 of an inch. This was most recently documented on or about April 10th, 2024. Instances of failures include but are not limited to: 1.) JET bench grinder in the assembly area. 2.) Unmarked bench grinder located in the old shop near the plasma cutter.
