29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: (a) On or about July 6, 2023, the electrical power cord from the Square D General Duty Safety Switch and Rockwell Vertical Bandsaw, was not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws. This condition exposed the employee to electrical shock and fire. (b) On or about July 6, 2023, the electrical power cord to the metallic commercial electrical outlet box powering the Saw Stop Industrial Cabinet Saw was not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws. This condition exposed the employee to electrical shock and fire.
