29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks are not examined before being placed in service:(a) Location: Work Floor The violation was observed on November 28th, 2016, when forklift operators and other employees on the work floor were exposed to crushing and impalement hazards from forklifts that were not inspected daily. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that forklift operators inspect the vehicles before operating them, and at least daily. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance.
