29 CFR 1910.272(g)(1)(iii): The atmosphere within a bin, silo, or tank in the grain handling facility was not tested for the presence of combustible gases, vapors, and toxic agents prior to employee entry: (a)Esco Industries, Inc. dba Performance Seed at 854 Northwestern Ave., Midland, SD 57552: On and prior to November 15, 2016, the employer did not test or evaluate for the presence of combustible gases, vapors, and toxic agents prior to employees entering grain bins for the purpose of cleaning and clearing out old grain/seeds. This condition exposed employees to atmospheric hazards.
