29 CFR 1910.184(e)(2)(i): Hooks, rings, oblong links, pear shaped links, welds, or mechanical coupling links or other attachments did not have a rated capacity at least equal to that of the alloy steel chain with which they are used: The employer does not ensure hooks used to lift and move various sized truck beds have a capacity rated for their use. This violation was observed on or about July 13, 2016, in the trim shop along the monorails system, exposing employees to struck-by and crush-by hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure hooks are rated for safe lifting capacity.
