29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: The employer is failing to protect employees from struck by hazards associated with operating a bench grinder when the tongue guard is adjusted greater than 1/4th of an inch. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 2500 Old Hadar Rd & 2300 Riverside Blvd. Norfolk, NE 68701; where the employer has maintenance employees using the bench grinder to sharpen tools without having properly adjusted the tongue guard.
