29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: On or about October 8, 2014, at the inspection site, where employee(s) were required to wear Bullard continuous flow supplied air respirators and N95 filtering facepiece respirators for protection from particulates, including silica, while engaged in abrasive blasting operations, the employer did not provide medical evaluations prior to respirator use, exposing employees to health hazards associated with increased metabolic rate, pulse rate and blood pressure.
