29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed: On or about January 27, 2023, at a facility located 502 E. Linden Street in Abbotsford, WI; the employer did not conduct annual periodic inspections of the energy control procedures for the production equipment. Employees were exposed to caught-in and struck-by hazards associated with energized machines, and unexpected start-up or release of energy sources due to the lack of periodic inspections to identify any deviations or inadequacies for correction.
