Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 008A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1):Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a) PRODUCTION AREA, METAL DEPARTMENT - Employees operated and maintained the General Electric C-45 Bliss power press, and there were multiple exposed electrical conductors where the rear of the press was not equipped with a cover or panel, on or about October 18, 2021. (b) PRODUCTION AREA, METAL DEPARTMENT - Employees operated and maintained the General Electric C-45 Bliss power press, and the electrical conductors connected to the foot pedal that was used to operate the press were damaged and then repaired with black electrical tape, on or about October 18, 2021. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
