29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition. a. Yard: On or about January 24, 2017, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards, in that Yard Tug (#140248/SN 303614 and 120862/VIN 4LMBB2113AL021588) were operated and not tagged out of service. The tugs were observed operating with missing air service lines, and Tug 140348 had inoperable instrument panel warning lights.
