29 CFR 1910.1025(g)(1)(i): The employer did not provide, at no cost to the employee, and ensure that the employee used appropriate protective work clothing and equipment that prevented contamination of the employee and the employee's garments, such as, but not limited to coveralls or similar full-body work clothing: a) Patco Area, Strip and Wash Building, on or about 12/1/15: An employee MIG welding the undercarriage of a rail car was exposed to 173 micrograms per cubic meter of lead as an 8-hr. time weighted average (TWA), 3.5 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter, during the 415 minute sampling period. A zero increment was included for the 65 minutes not sampled. The employer failed to provide protective clothing to prevent contamination of employees street clothes for for employees exposed to lead in excess of the PEL. Abatement documentation must be submitted for this item
