Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or about 04/16/08 Location:Dyehouse Behind Line #3 Condition:A plumbed in eyewash station was not fully functional. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be to clean the eye wash on a regular basis to ensure fittings do not become clogged with debris and to perform regular maintenance checks.
