29 CFR 1926.451(h)(2)(iii): Where tools, materials, or equipment were piled to a height higher than the top edge of the toeboard, paneling or screening extending from the toeboard or platform to the top of the guardrail was not erected for a distance sufficient to protect employees below. (a) On or about March 29, 2023, employees working at and around the base of the scissor lift used to complete tasks associated with the High Bay lighting fixture replacement upgrade project, were exposed to a struck by hazard when tools, light fixtures and associated electrical and suspension components, and boxes were piled to a height higher than the top of the toe board without adequate paneling or screening being installed.
