29 CFR 1926.1417(n):The competent person must adjust the equipment and/or operations to address the effect of wind, ice, and snow on equipment stability and rated capacity. a) On or about April 20, 2022, at the previously addressed inspection site, the operation of framing, installing and bracing wood framed residential building walls was not adjusted by a competent person to address the effects of high winds of up to 40 mph. A wall over tipped and struck an employee following a high wind gust during the bracing and installation of the wall. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
