29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems: On or about 03/03/2021, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from fall hazards when: A. Employees were exposed to the hazard of falling up to approximately thirty-two (32) feet while performing structural steel construction. Four (4) employees were exposed to fall hazards while they were working on a leading edge to construct roof decking and no fall protection was being used. B. Employees were exposed to the hazard of falling up to sixteen (16) feet while performing structural steel construction. Two (2) employees were exposed to fall hazards while they were working on a metal platform and no fall protection was being used. C. Employees were exposed to the hazard of falling up to approximately twenty-seven (27) feet while performing structural steel construction. One (1) employee was exposed to fall hazards while working on the roof of the building to secure vertical sheeting and no fall protection was being used.
