29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Plant site - On or about February 25, 2020 the employer did not provide all employees with effective information and training on safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals they were exposed to in the workplace such as, but not limited to welding wire and argon gas that can generate carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ozone, and nitrogen oxide during the welding process. Not all employees knew what a safety data sheet is or where to find safety data sheets in the workplace.
