29 CFR 1910.305: Flexible cord and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws and boxes were not closed by suitable covers securely fastened in place. a) Building 13026, Maintenance Shop: The Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems Ext. Cord Reel did not have strain relief and the rubber sheathing was pulled away from the coated electrical copper wire plug housing point. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards. b) Building 13026, Maintenance Shop: The Tire Balancing Machine did not have strain relief and the rubber sheathing was pulled away from the coated electrical copper wire plug housing point. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards. c) Building 13026, Maintenance Shop, Center Aisle way: The electrical transfer box cover was open and not secured to the box housingshowing exposed wiring. Employees continuously work in this area servicing vehicles and continuously throughout the day pass the electrical fixtures. Employees are exposed to electrical hazards.
