29 CFR 1910.219(f)(1): Gears shall be guarded in accordance with one of the following methods identified in sections f(i) through (f)(iii) of this part. Employees working in the Canning Department were exposed to caught-in hazards: a) On Angelus Canning Line # 1, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear. b) On Angelus Canning Line # 2, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear. c) On Angelus Canning Line # 3, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear. d) On Angelus Canning Line # 4, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear. e) On Angelus Canning Line # 5, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear. f) On Angelus Canning Line # 6, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear. g) On Angelus Canning Line # 7, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear. h) On Angelus Canning Line # 8, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear. i) On Angelus Canning Line # 9, when the gear driving the drum was not guarded so as to prevent contact with the rotating gear.
