29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv): Flexible cords and/ or cables were used for purposes prohibited by paragraphs (A) through (F) of 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(a). a) Northwest Corner of Shop Area, Building #26: A 120 volt extension cord was used to power lighting and receptacle outlets in the paint shed violated this standard by i) Being used in lieu of fixed wiring; ii) running through a hole drilled into the brick wall were it ran outside then it iii) ran through a window opening into the paint shed, where iv) it was attached to the building surface of the outer brick wall, metal conduit, a fence and finally attached to the wooden studs inside the paint shed.
