29 CFR 1926.964(b)(1): Tension stringing method. When lines that employees are installing or removing can contact energized parts, the employer shall use the tension stringing method, barriers, or other equivalent measures to minimize the possibility that conductors and cables the employees are installing or removing will contact energized power lines or equipment. At a worksite located at 6760 West Farm Road 68, Willard, Missouri 65781, employees were exposed to serious electrical shock and burn hazards. Employees who were working from a utility bucket truck did not use the tension stringing method, barriers, or other equivalent measures to minimize the possibility of the service line that the employees were working on to contact Ozarks Electric Cooperatives energized power lines. Employees were exposed to 7.62kV of electrical current.
