29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: (a) On or about March 20, 2019 a flexible cord in the exterior siding department was powering a Delta RT-40 14 inch table saw. The cord was attached to a steel pillar of the building by plastic ties and being used in lieu of permanent wiring exposing employees in the area to an inhalation hazard in the event of an electrical fire. (b) On or about March 20, 2019 a flexible cord in the exterior siding department was powering a Kufo dust collection system. The cord was attached to a steel pillar of the building by plastic ties and being used in lieu of permanent wiring exposing employees in the area to an inhalation hazard in the event of an electrical fire. (c) On or about March 20, 2019 a flexible cord in the plumbing testing department was powering a sump pump. The cord was being used in lieu of permanent wiring exposing employees in the area to an inhalation hazard in the event of an electrical fire.
