29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: Employees were exposed to fire and electrical shock hazards. Employees engaged in housekeeping and grain handling activities in the elevator West side tunnel by the sump pump were exposed to fire and electrical shock hazards in that the plug-in to the outlet to power the sump pump was loose at the end connection, thus exposing energized wires. There was no strain relief to ensure effective electrical continuity contact. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
