29 CFR 1910.261(b)(2): Emergency lighting was not provided wherever it is necessary for employees to remain at their machines or stations to shut down equipment in case of power failure. Emergency lighting was not provided at stairways and passageways or aisleways used by employees for emergency exit in case of power failure: (a) Deink & Converting - On or about November 28, 2018 employers were exposed to amputation hazards as a result of emergency lighting not being provided. (b) Converting - On or about November 28, 2018, employees were exposed to smoke inhalation as a result of the exit route(s) was not adequately illuminated during a power outage.
