29 CFR 1910.219(c)(2)(i): All exposed part(s) of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform were not protected by stationary casing(s) enclosing shafting completely or by trough(s) enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting: a) On or about March 30, 2017, the employer failed to provide adequate guarding on a smooth vertical shaft on the Snow Machine #1 in building #1, where the shaft was located just above ground level, on the outer part of the machine, exposing employees to contact. b) On or about March 30, 2017, the employer failed to provide adequate guarding on a smooth vertical shaft on the Snow Machine #2 in building #1, where the shaft was located just above ground level, on the outer part of the machine, exposing employees to contact. c) On or about March 30, 2017, the employer failed to provide adequate guarding on a smooth vertical shaft on the Snow Machine #3 in building #2, where the shaft was located just above ground level, on the outer part of the machine, exposing employees to contact. d) On or about March 30, 2017, the employer failed to provide adequate guarding on a smooth vertical shaft on the Snow Machine #4 in building #2, where the shaft was located just above ground level, on the outer part of the machine, exposing employees to contact.
