29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. On or about 08 February 2017, the employer failed to provide suitable facilities for flushing of the eyes and neutralizing spilled electrolyte. This exposed employees to injury from corrosive materials such battery acid during servicing/charging of the powered industrial truck batteries. Abatement documentation is not required for this item.
