29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the information specified under paragraphs (f)(6)(i) through (ii) of this section: PLATING DEPARTMENT: On or about and at times prior to February 7, 2017, the labels on several tanks containing plating chemicals did not include adequate information about the chemicals in the tanks (e.g., "Acid" but no indication of the pH or what kind of acid; "Brown Oxidize Solution" with no indication of pH or that the solution contained various acids; there were also tanks that contained cyanide without noting it on the label). Hazardous chemicals in plating tanks included, but were not limited to: potassium and sodium hydroxide; copper and potassium cyanides with potassium hydroxide; copper, zinc, and sodium cyanide with sodium and ammonium hydroxides; and nickel, hydrogen peroxide, boric, sulfuric and hydrochloric acids.
