29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(i): Unused openings in boxes, raceways, auxiliary gutters, cabinets, equipment cases, or housings were not effectively closed to afford protection substantially equivalent to the wall of the equipment. a. On or about September 20, 2016, and times prior thereto, in the Mill Area where employees were exposed to fire hazards when operating on the Slat Bed Multi Saw without the electrical box having all unused openings effectively closed. b. On or about September 20, 2016, and times prior thereto, in the Mill Area where employees were exposed to fire hazards when cleaning around the Glue Machine Table near an electrical box without the electrical box having all unused openings effectively closed. c. On or about September 20, 2016, and times prior thereto, in the Mill Area where employees were exposed to fire hazards when working near an outlet box mounted by the SW overhead door without the outlet box having all unused openings effectively closed. d. On or about September 20, 2016, and times prior thereto, in the Mill Area where employees were exposed to fire hazards when cleaning along the SW wall by the Glue Table near a Furnas electrical box without the electrical box having all unused openings effectively closed.
