Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 008 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer shall have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. The training shall include the following areas, as applicable: Located on the south side of a commercial structure, employees were engaged in EIFS work while utilizing a Fabricated Framed Scaffold system had not been train by the employer to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
