29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical hazards associated with using temporary flexible cords in lieu of fixed wiring. The most recent occurrence of this was evident during the inspection of the facility located at 2215 Leavenworth St., Omaha, NE, where the employer has employees operating the warehouse computer and peripherals that is plugged into a portable power tap that gets power from an extension cord the employer is using in lieu of having fixed wiring installed.
