29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirement of this standard were being followed: (a) On or about July 7, 2016, the employer failed to conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirement of this standard were being followed. Employees were exposed to caught in and electric shock hazards in that energy control procedures for machines in the fittings and elbow departments, including but not limited to Elbow Machines, and automatic and manual Iowa Precision Collar Machines were not inspected at least annually. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
